ABOUT US
Quality from field to fork
It’s in our nature
That’s right: we’re absolutely potato-obsessed. Every single day, we select the very best potatoes and pack them with care, love, and a whole lot of pride.

Get potatoed Five steps from field to fork
We’re all about the perfect table potato. During the growing season, we choose the best soil, monitor every step of the cultivation process, from fertilisation to irrigation and crop protection, and ensure low-residue growing and ideal storage conditions. Throughout the entire journey, we carry out strict quality checks. Curious about the five steps that bring our potatoes to your plate?
1. Grow
We carefully select the tastiest potato varieties, the best fields and the most skilled growers to match. We closely follow the crop’s development, and our farmers harvest your potatoes with care and dedication.
2. Store
We monitor the storage conditions with great precision. How are the potatoes maturing? Is the temperature still optimal? Your potatoes are seriously well looked after.
3. Wash and sort
Once the potatoes arrive, they undergo a thorough intake check. And yes, it’s a tough one! We assess appearance and sort by size. In our lab, we measure underwater weight and carry out a full range of tests.
Then we wash and sort the potatoes, followed by a quality control process. Optical sorting happens twice, using both Celox and Visar technology. Our lab also runs tests for shelf life and quality.
4. Package
We pack the potatoes at our packing stations, either in your private label packaging or in our premium Warnez-branded packs. Nothing is left to chance: we check the weight, the labels, and fine-tune our machines down to the millimetre. The result? Perfectly packed potatoes, ready to go.
5. Transport
We load the potatoes onto pallets, each with a tracking code. That way, every product reaches the right customer. Whether it ends up in a shop, restaurant or meal box, one thing’s for sure: it’s going to taste great.

Warnez potatoes: naturally sustainable!
Our hands are in the soil every day. We’re the first to feel it in our crops when nature’s under pressure. So yes, we know how important it is to care for the Earth and think about the future of our business.
Since 1950, our growth has been driven by strong strategic partnerships across the entire vertical chain, from growers to consumers. Today, under the leadership of Jan and Filip, Warnez is more involved than ever in every single link of that chain. We make conscious, sustainable choices, deliver quality, and do our part to make the world better.
Fair & Healthy Crops
For potatoes, sustainability starts in the field. We build long-term partnerships and reward our growers for producing quality crops with zero residue. That’s how we guarantee a healthy, responsible potato.
Circular packaging policy
Our efforts don’t stop after harvest. We promote the sale of loose potatoes, reuse transport packaging, and choose recyclable and biobased materials whenever possible.
Lean & Green Logistics
Within our logistics, we actively work to reduce CO₂ emissions. Our warehouses are cooled in an eco-friendly way, and we continuously optimise our transport.
Future-focused production
With an energy-efficient production site, a state-of-the-art machine park and a team of dedicated colleagues, we ensure maximum value creation with minimum impact on the earth’s resources.
Get potatoed: een duurzame missie

"We pursue sustainability because we believe the potato is a vital part of our culture and our meals. We all grew up with it.”
Jan Warnez – managing director Warnez

Warnez en STG, the potato cooperative
We’ve been working closely with our growers for years. We’re perfectly in sync, all working toward one shared goal: delivering the best possible quality and yield.
One of those partnerships led to the creation of STG, a cooperative where growers and Warnez jointly invest in a high-tech intake line and storage facilities. By pulling together, we keep every part of the process running smoothly!
